The holiday season is finally over and things everywhere are getting back to
normal. In Ghana school break is over and it's time for Anabel to start attending classes again. So we are sending extra funds to the child care center where she is
staying to pay for books, crayons, pencils, and other basic school supplies for the
new school term. And also new shoes, because Anabel is a growing girl.
Anabel is a little orphan girl who was abandoned by her mother when she was three
years of age. Her mother died shortly afterward, leaving Anabel completely alone.
We have been doing our best for her since then, providing the funds necessary for
her keep in the daycare center where she is presently living. Part of the
requirement for her to stay there is that she attend the associated school and so
she has been going there for awhile now. This means extra fees but Anabel needs her
education so this is not only necessary but good.
So a new school year has begun and Anabel is ready to set out to learn and to get
the education she needs for her future. We are doing our part to make sure that she
has the tools to do her best.
